An Easy Gift Card Holder using the Modern Christmas Suite

Happy Monday!  Check out this easy gift card holder I made using the Modern Christmas Suite! This beautiful suite can be found in the Online Exclusives.

For this gift card, I focused on the trees I punched out from the Modern Christmas Specialty Paper. I built it up with some twine and gold hoops. Finally, I embellished it. So simple yet elegant.

1. Measure & Cut: Front layers (from bottom to top):

  • Card Base – Basic Black Cardstock – 5 ½ x 4 ¼
  • Modern Christmas Specialty Paper – 5 ¼ x 4 – adhere to the Basic Black card base.
  • Basic Black Cardstock – 8 x 3, scored at 4 – center & adhere to the Modern Christmas DSP
  • Modern Christmas Specialty Paper: 2 ¾ x 3 ¾ adhere to the center of the Basic Black Cardstock.
  • Modern Christmas Specialty Paper – using the 1 3/4 circle punch, punch out the trees.
  • Adhere the punched-out Modern Christmas DSP trees with dimensionals. Add a piece of Black & Gold Baker’s Twine to the dimensionals. Attach it to the Modern Christmas DSP.
  • Use mini glue dots to attach the large gold hoops to the center.

2. Measure & Cut: Inside layers (from bottom to top):

  • Basic White Cardstock – 2 ¾ x 3 ¾ – adhere to Basic Black Cardstock
  • Modern Christmas: 2 x 3, use the 1 ¾ circle punch to form a half cut (this is where the gift card goes) – adhere to the Basic White Cardstock at the bottom

Here is a list of the items used. Use what you have or just buy what you need, using the measurements above.

Note: The Traditional Sparkling Sequins are currently out of stock. They are not expected back in stock until the week of November 24th. We have plenty of other beautiful embellishments, I am sure you can use in their place.

Happy creating!

Diane
