Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies

Say “Happy Birthday” with a few butterflies! Today’s Thursday Therapy project features the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle – one of the beautiful Online Exclusives from Stampin’ Up!’. This easy and simple design highlights the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle and Impressions Abloom Dies.  Pair this with a sentiment tag. Add some White Twine from the Bakers Twine Essentials Pack. Finish with a few Rainbow Adhesive Backed Accent Dots, and boom, it’s done.  

Crop:

• Use a clear block to stamp the butterfly four times. Stamp the sentiment with Early Espresso onto the scraps of Basic White Cardstock. Measurements follow.

• Use a ​​Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine​​ (Standard or Mini). Align the front of the card base with the card layer. Crop the oval from the Impressions Abloom Dies in the center of the card front. Make sure it goes through both layers so they align.  Cut out the four butterflies and sentiment.

• Emboss the card front layer with the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Folder.

• Color the butterflies using Stampin’ Blends.

Assemble & Adhere:

• Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.

• Position a piece of the white twine between the card base and card front. Then, adhere the two Basic White layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

• Center the butterflies on the twine and adhere them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

• On the inside of the card add the Everyday Happiness DSP with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

• Add the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals, to the front of the card, and embellish.

Measurements:

Basic White 8 1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock

• 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” for the card base
• 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” for the layer on the front
• 6” x 2-1/2” for the 4 butterflies
• 4” x 1” for the sentiment

Everyday Happiness 12″x12″ Designer Series Paper

• 5-3/8” x 3-7/8” for the inside
