Velvet Meadow – Coming Soon!

My card therapy this past week. This card features a new suite, Velvet Meadow, coming out in the May Catalog, as well as some of the new 2026-2028 In-Colors. I think it is one of my favorite new sets. The suite includes the stamps, dies, two different packs of velveteen paper, and the dreamy flower embellishments. My sample uses another new item, the 2026-2028 In-Color Butterflies, instead of the dreamy flowers.

While these cards feature some new products not available until the New May-August 2026 Catalog, which comes out on May 5th, use this easy layout to recreate it with the supplies you have.

Card Base

• Start with a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2-inch piece of Basic White card stock.
• Score at 4-1/4 inches. Fold the card in half on the 4-1/4-inch score line.

Creating the Card

• Cut five 1” x 4” pieces from the Velvet Meadow 12” x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper.
• Cut a 3 ¾“ x 2 ¾” piece of Basic White cardstock.
• Cut a 3 5/8” x 2 5/8 piece of Peaceful Pine cardstock.
• Cut a 3 ½” x 2 ½” piece of the Specialty DSP.
• Punch a circle from a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock using the 1 ¾ circle punch.

Assembling & Decorating the Card

• Arrange and layer the five 1” x 4” pieces from the Velvet Meadow DSP on the card base.
• Layer the DSP, Peaceful Pine, and Basic White Cardstock as shown.
• Stamp & Die cut the flowers and leaves from the Flowering Meadow Bundle using Bubble Bath, Berry Burst, and Peaceful Pine.
• Stamp the saying from the Sending Salutations stamp Set with Peaceful Pine onto the punched circle.
• Adhere to the card using glue, tape, or dimensionals.
• Embellish with the 2026-2028 In-Color Butterflies.
